A QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional barcode that can store information such as URLs, text, contact details, Wi-Fi credentials, and more. When scanned with a smartphone camera or dedicated app, it instantly directs the user to the encoded destination — no typing required.

A Dynamic QR Code stores a short redirect URL that points to your actual destination. This means you can change where the code leads at any time — even after it has been printed — without generating a new code. Dynamic codes also support analytics, letting you track scan counts, device types, and locations in real time.

A Static QR Code encodes the destination directly and permanently — once printed, it cannot be changed. A Dynamic QR Code uses a redirect layer so the destination can be updated at any time. Dynamic codes are also more visually compact (less dense pattern), easier to scan, and support tracking features that static codes cannot provide.

QR Codes work with virtually any modern device. iPhones (iOS 11+) and Android phones (Android 8+) can scan them natively through the default camera app — no additional app needed. Older devices may require a free QR scanner app. Tablets, laptops with webcams, and dedicated barcode scanners also support QR scanning.

QR Codes bridge the physical and digital worlds instantly. Key benefits include: zero friction for end users (just point a camera), no app download required, support for any digital destination, instant updates without reprinting (Dynamic), real-time analytics on scan behaviour, full branding customisation (logo, colours, shape), and compatibility with every modern smartphone on the market.

Yes — if it is a Dynamic QR Code. You can update the destination URL, swap out content, or point the code to a completely different page at any time from your dashboard. The printed code itself never changes, so there is no need to reprint menus, posters, or packaging.

Yes. Every Dynamic QR Code includes built-in analytics. From your dashboard you can view total scans over time, unique vs. repeat scans, device types (iOS / Android / other), and geographic distribution by country and city. This data helps you measure campaign effectiveness and optimise your content.

Absolutely. Our QR Code editor lets you upload your logo, choose foreground and background colours, and adjust the corner markers style. You can preview the result live and download the final code in high-resolution PNG format ready for print or digital use.

A QR Code can direct users to any URL — a website, a digital menu, a PDF, a video, a booking form, a social media profile, a Wi-Fi login page, an event check-in, or any other web-accessible content. With Dynamic codes you can also swap the destination to a different type of content without reprinting.

As long as your subscription is active, your Dynamic QR Codes remain fully functional. There is no expiry date built into the code itself. If you ever need to retire a code you can deactivate it from the dashboard, at which point scans will receive a polite "unavailable" message instead of a broken link.
